About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Priory Healthcare. As an inpatient CAMHS Consultant, you will be at the forefront of psychiatric care, offering inpatient treatment and clinical leadership in an adolescent eating disorders unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Governance
    • Chair MDT/CPA Meetings and adhere to organizational admission and discharge policies
    • Prepare and supervise reports for Mental Health Act Review Tribunals & Managers Hearings
    • Contribute to unit governance through expertise and leadership
  • Ward Governance and Compliance
    • Ensure the ward complies with organizational and regulatory requirements
    • Participate in ward governance meetings and organizational quality improvement initiatives and service development
    • Attend Monthly CAMHS governance meetings
  • Academic and Research
    • Participate in monthly Academic meetings
    • Engage in audit, research, and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • MBBS or equivalent Medical Degree and MRCPsych
  • Registration on the specialist register with CAMHS CCT/CESR, along with valid AC Status
  • Experience and knowledge in CAMHS
  • Knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, as well as the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Practice
  • Commitment to continued professional development
  • Desirable to have significant experience in inpatient CAMHS and treating disordered eating
