Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Front of House Manager to join our hospitality team at Devon Pubs and Hotels. The ideal candidate will assist in overseeing the daily operations of the front of house, ensuring exceptional customer service and smooth restaurant functioning.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supervise and support front of house staff in delivering excellent service and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.
  2. Assist in managing reservations, seating arrangements, and customer inquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
  3. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food service, maintaining a seamless dining experience for our guests.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized dining area, adhering to health and safety standards.
  5. Handle customer feedback and resolve any issues promptly, ensuring a positive experience for all guests.
  6. Be a key holder and assist with locking up the premises at the end of the shift.
Requirements
  1. Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel setting, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
  2. Knowledge of food preparation and bartending, with the ability to assist with kitchen operations if needed.
  3. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and support front of house staff.
  4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a calm and composed demeanor under pressure.
Benefits
  1. Competitive salary of £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year.

Working Hours
  1. Monday to Friday, with weekend availability.
Experience Requirements
  1. Hospitality experience: 3 years (preferred).
  2. Leadership experience: 3 years (preferred).
  3. Bartending experience: 3 years (required).
  4. Team management experience: 1 year (preferred).

Work Location: In person at one of our Devon Pubs and Hotels locations.
