About the Role

Climax Studios, a leading creative force in independent games development, is seeking an experienced and multi-talented Lead Artist to join our team. As a key member of our art team, you will be responsible for conceiving, creating, and leading the team in producing innovative visual experiences for AAA titles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement artistic visions for AAA titles, working closely with internal and external teams.
  • Lead and manage a team of artists, providing guidance, support, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and deliver high-quality visual experiences that meet their expectations.
  • Stay up-to-date with current gen' technology and illustration skills, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and excellence in our art production.
  • Manage deadlines, budgets, and resources effectively, ensuring timely and successful project delivery.
Requirements
  • At least 5+ years of experience in console development, with a minimum of 2 shipped titles and one as a Lead Artist.
  • Excellent visual and verbal communication skills, with the ability to direct internal or external teams and individuals.
  • Strong resource management and judgement skills, with the ability to assign artists of varying skill sets to multiple projects.
  • Comfortable liaising with clients and presenting to them in an authoritative and professional manner.
  • A self-motivated team leader with excellent time management skills, able to manage deadlines and budgets effectively.
  • Experience in managing art teams effectively and in a timely fashion.
  • 2-3 years of experience developing and implementing solid art production pathways.
  • The ability to find creative solutions when troubleshooting and assessing risks.
  • A good understanding of cutting-edge artistic techniques and tools, with the ability to implement them into current practical practices.
