Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant Apprentice to join our team. As an Accounts Assistant Apprentice, you will be responsible for managing purchase ledgers, staff expenses, bank reconciliations, VAT returns, and assisting with financial statements. You will also contribute to office admin tasks and work closely with both finance and commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage purchase ledger across the Group
  • Manage staff expenses
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations
  • Complete monthly intercompany reconciliations
  • Update internal cost schedules
  • Prepare monthly payment run
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly VAT returns
  • Aid in the preparation of financial statements
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Prior experience of managing a purchase ledger is required
  • Experience of managing cash and bank payments is required
  • AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Bookkeeping or Accounting is preferable
  • Experience with Xero is preferable but not necessary
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Good command of the English language
Training and Development

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.
