About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at Bath & North East Somerset Council. As a Catering Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with the transportation and delivery of food, washing and drying of catering equipment, and supporting the team with serving food and drink to service users and others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the transportation and delivery of food across from our kitchen.
  • Wash and dry catering equipment and crockery.
  • Support the team with serving food and drink to service users and others.
  • Clean the dining and kitchen space.
  • Set up the dining space.
  • Ensure the provision of enough supplies of clean crockery, cutlery, and cooking utensils for each meal service.
  • Communicate effectively with care staff, service users, and visitors.
