Key Requirements:

This Higher Education Institution is seeking an experienced Oracle Developer to join their Information Technology Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Oracle-based applications that support the institution's administrative and academic operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement Oracle database applications to support institutional needs, including student information systems, finance systems, and human resources systems.

Perform database administration tasks such as backup, recovery, performance tuning, and monitoring to ensure optimal database performance and availability.

Develop and maintain ETL processes to ensure accurate and efficient data integration between Oracle databases and other institutional systems.

Collaborate with end-users and stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze system needs, and design solutions that enhance operational efficiency and data integrity.

Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for database designs, code, and configurations to ensure knowledge transfer and system maintainability.

Desirable Skills:

  • Proven experience with Oracle Database, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, and Oracle Reports.
  • Experience with Oracle APEX and Oracle E-Business Suite is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL programming.
  • Knowledge of database design, data modeling, and normalization.
  • Experience with ETL processes and tools (e.g., Oracle Data Integrator).
