About the Role
The University Solicitor is a key position within the University of Chichester, responsible for providing legal support, advice, and guidance to the university community. This role requires a qualified solicitor with significant post-qualification experience in contract, commercial, and intellectual property law.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and guidance to university staff on various matters, including contract law, commercial law, and intellectual property law.
- Work closely with the Academic and Professional Services teams to ensure effective communication and delivery of legal services.
- Manage a varied and time-pressured workload, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders across the university, including academic and professional services teams.
About the Team
The University Solicitor will work closely with the University Secretary and other members of the Academic and Professional Services teams to provide a comprehensive legal service to the university. This role requires a strong understanding of the university's governance and compliance framework, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
