About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Policy Advisor to join our team at Scope, a leading disability equality charity in the UK. As a Policy Advisor, you will play a vital role in shaping our policy and influencing work, particularly in the area of disability employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of policy initiatives that promote disability equality and employment opportunities.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform policy decisions and recommendations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, employers, and disability organizations.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to promote our policy work and engage with key audiences.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement campaigns and advocacy efforts.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in policy development and implementation, particularly in the area of disability employment.
  • Strong understanding of how government policy is made and influenced.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate complex information effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Passion for disability equality and a commitment to promoting equal opportunities for disabled people.
