This firm is a leader in sustainable development, with a planning team composed of seasoned professionals including Planners, EIA Consultants, Ecologists, Transport Planners, Arboriculturists, Heritage & Archaeology specialists, and Project Managers.

They are dedicated to shaping the built environment in a manner that honors and enhances the natural world, and are seeking an Environmental Planner who shares this commitment.

As an Environmental Planner, you will be instrumental in delivering environmental planning services across a diverse array of projects.

Your responsibilities will include integrating environmental considerations into the planning process, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and positively contributing to the local environment.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct environmental assessments and reports, including Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA).
  • Collaborate with the Planning team and other disciplines to provide expert guidance on environmental matters.
  • Engage with clients, local authorities, and statutory bodies to ensure adherence to environmental legislation.
  • Identify and manage environmental risks and opportunities within planning applications.
  • Assist in the development and execution of sustainable planning strategies.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Planning, Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in environmental planning, preferably within the UK.
  • Strong knowledge of UK planning and environmental legislation.
  • Excellent communication and project management abilities.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
