Spirehouse Recruitment is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Compliance and Building Safety Team


The Opportunity:


We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual to manage a team of 3 compliance and building safety professionals, providing a safe and secure environment for our clients' social housing residents across a portfolio of 4000 properties.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Supervise and mentor a team of 3 compliance and building safety staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive compliance and building safety programs, including fire safety, to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor compliance and building safety, and provide guidance and support to staff as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of compliance and building safety initiatives.
  • Manage budgets and contractor performance, including procurement and contract management.
  • Engage with residents and stakeholders to ensure their needs are met and concerns are addressed.


Requirements:


  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong background in compliance and building safety.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, including asbestos, electrical, fire, gas, legionella, and lifts.
  • Desirable: NEBOSH Fire Safety certification.
