The Opportunity:


As a Compliance and Building Safety Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the safety and security of our clients' housing portfolio, comprising 4000 properties. You will manage a team of three to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including fire safety.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Team Management: Supervise and mentor a team of three Compliance and Building Safety staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Compliance Programmes: Develop and implement programmes to ensure compliance with the 'big 6' regulatory requirements.
  • Fire Safety Expertise: Provide expert advice on fire safety matters and ensure that all necessary measures are in place to prevent fires and ensure the safety of residents.
  • Compliance Surveying and Remediation: Oversee compliance surveying and remediation activities to ensure that all properties meet the required standards.
  • Budget Management: Monitor and manage budgets for compliance and building safety activities, including procurement and contractor performance.
  • Resident Engagement: Engage with residents to ensure that they are aware of and understand the importance of compliance and building safety.


Requirements:


  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of managing compliance and building safety teams.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of asbestos, electrical, fire, gas, legionella, and lifts regulations, with a strong understanding of the implications of non-compliance.
  • Desirable Qualification: NEBOSH Fire Safety certification is highly desirable.
