Role Overview:
As a Senior Safeguarding Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional services aimed at achieving the best outcomes for children and young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Child Safety and Welfare:

    Assess and manage risks to ensure the safety and well-being of children and young individuals, taking decisive actions to protect them from potential harm.

  2. Responsive Intervention:

    Act promptly and effectively in response to safeguarding concerns, providing immediate support and intervention to families in distress.

  3. Collaborative Approach:

    Engage with various agencies, including health, education, and law enforcement, to develop and implement comprehensive safeguarding strategies.

  4. Quality Control:

    Lead initiatives to enhance quality assurance within the team, ensuring adherence to high standards of safeguarding practices.

  5. Case Management:

    Oversee a designated caseload of children and young people facing significant challenges, ensuring timely and effective interventions that prioritize their needs.

  6. Mentorship:

    Provide guidance and supervision to Trainee Social Workers and Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSW), fostering their professional development.

  7. Policy Compliance:

    Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and local safeguarding policies, maintaining current knowledge of best practices in child protection.


Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Full driving license and willingness to travel.
