Job Overview

University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced and motivated Critical Care Nurse to take on a leadership role within our Critical Care team. As a Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading a team of nurses in the ICU/HDU.

Main Responsibilities
  • Plan, provide, and evaluate skilled evidence-based care for critically ill patients.
  • Support and develop colleagues by mentoring and assessing their skills.
  • Promote practice development within Critical Care.
  • Shift lead and support staff.
  • Fulfill local/trust requirements in specified audit/project work.
  • Undertake performance development reviews.
