About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our Financial Planning and Analysis team at Wex Europe Services. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the business in achieving its financial targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commercial Business Partner: Act as a commercial business partner to the International Payments team, providing financial planning and decision-making support to help them achieve their financial targets.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Ensure revenue and profitability are accurately forecast and reported, identifying and managing risks and opportunities to budgets and forecasts.
  • Coordination and Translation: Coordinate and translate growth initiatives, recommending cost reduction strategies and their impact.
  • Commercial Analysis and Insight: Provide informative commercial analysis and insight to leadership teams, supporting business and corporate KPIs that drive revenue and profitability.
  • Business Case Development: Develop business cases and investment appraisals, including capital planning process (CPP) and account profitability.
  • Pricing and Deal Modelling: Conduct pricing and deal modelling, ensuring deals are negotiated above or at shareholder return thresholds.
  • Financial Business Planning: Work closely with leadership teams to formulate financial business plans.
  • Complex Analysis: Work with subject matter experts on complex pieces of analysis across the business.
  • Sales Commission Planning: Develop sales commission plans for International Payments.
Requirements
  • A newly qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or global equivalent) with more than 5 years of PQE working in day-to-day financial planning and analysis in a global company environment.
  • Solid commercial acumen, including supporting pricing and developing business cases for investments.
  • Experience of developing and maintaining financial planning and reporting models in Planning Analytics or other similar finance BI tools.
  • Evidence of strong business partnering, with the ability to influence decision-makers.
  • The right level of judgment, drive, and influence to successfully communicate key messages and influence decision-makers.
  • A self-starter with strong ambition to grow and develop, demonstrated by seeking out opportunities for advancement and assisting others as needed.
