We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team at Resourcery Group. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in supporting our financial operations and contributing to the company's growth and success.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Analyse variances between actual and budgeted figures and provide insightful recommendations to senior management to drive business decisions.
- Support the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts to ensure alignment with financial targets.
- Monitor budgets and expenditures to ensure alignment with financial targets and identify areas for cost savings.
- Manage accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations during month-end processes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger to ensure accurate financial recording.
- Assist with the preparation of documentation for internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support accounts payable and receivable functions by processing invoices and payments to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
- Review and process employee expense claims to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis for senior management to provide insights and recommendations.
Requirements:
- Working towards CIMA/ACCA Qualification or equivalent.
- Prior experience working within a finance department, ideally with exposure to month-end accounting.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Hard working and 'can do' attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and priorities.
