Job Description:

As an Internal Communications Business Partner, you will play a crucial role in inspiring, informing, and engaging key stakeholders within Production. Your primary objective will be to champion the function through creative and innovative communication, ensuring full visibility of key activity at the Gloucester site and highlighting success stories and meaningful messaging.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with functional leaders to develop a clear communications strategy for the department.
  • Identify upcoming initiatives, critical stories, and essential communication activity, working closely with the function to understand their vision and translate it into a captivating storyline.
  • Gain a full understanding of the target audience to ensure the right information is sent, in the right format, at the right time.
  • Attend briefings, cascades, and meetings in Production, Communications, and wider company functions as necessary to feed the pipeline of information.
  • Act as Production's 'roving reporter,' seeking out phenomenal stories that showcase the company's growth and replay or elevate them to reach a wider audience.
  • Identify key projects, people, programs, innovations, and other topics in Production that will hold interest for the wider business.
  • Research topics, interview contacts, verify facts, and translate them into compelling and creative content to publication standard.
  • Produce exciting visuals to make written content 'pop' and get noticed, including artwork, photography, and video.
  • Identify appropriate channels to distribute content and adjust outputs accordingly.
  • Be proactive in responding to requests for story generation from Communications functions throughout the company.
Events:
  • Support face-to-face communications and events across Production and the wider Gloucester site, creating communications around these events, such as success case studies for National Apprenticeship Week or innovative installations for Cheltenham Science Festival.
  • Publicize the success of events for Production through follow-up stories and activities.
Corporate Communications:
  • Align company communications with the Safran corporate identity and graphics standards.
  • Contribute to and utilize the corporate Communications photography and video collections.
  • Link in with corporate communication efforts to optimize the communication impact for Production.
Requirements:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to listen and talk to anyone at any level and draw out their story.
  • Excellent written English with attention to grammar and tone and an interest in digital content generation, including design, photography, and video.
  • MS Office applications, including PowerPoint and Teams, with strong initiative and ability to juggle multiple projects and demands with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with an eye for detail.
