Our client, a leading manufacturer of aluminium and steel fabrications, is seeking an experienced estimator to join their team. As an estimator, you will play a crucial role in helping the company grow and expand its operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare detailed cost estimates for new contracts by calculating manufacturing costs.
- Adhere to company standards and guidelines when analysing and providing estimations, focusing on maximising profit and customer satisfaction while minimising potential risks.
- Prepare well-written proposals for each client, highlighting the benefits of their products and services.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring each reaches the client by their deadline.
- Liaise with customers and suppliers to ensure smooth communication and timely delivery.
- Undertake general office duties, including answering the telephone, filing, and attending meetings as required.
- Experience in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of architectural drawings and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to formulate what needs to be manufactured and draw a sketch of what is required.
- Understanding of the differences between various materials and gauges, ensuring the correct material and grades are identified.
