About the Role

United Living Group is a leading provider of integrated services, dedicated to creating a connected and sustainable future. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our team in Shetland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of projects, ensuring successful delivery, safety, time, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement strategic project plans, monitoring progress and making adjustments as needed.
  • Lead and manage operational teams, setting standards and ensuring consistency across the organization.
  • Recruit and develop talent to meet current and future demands.
  • Manage contracts and ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
  • Act as a strong leader in Health, Safety, Quality, and Environment (HSQE), promoting high standards and best practices.
  • Ensure accurate and compliant HSQE reporting and activity.
  • Maintain high levels of commitment and morale among team members, fostering a strong team ethic.
  • Support the Operations Director in identifying areas of opportunity and risk, and lead teams by example.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Manager to ensure alignment and effective management of commercial and operational matters.
  • Resolve operational and technical issues at a project level.
  • Support the Bid Team and work-winning function as needed.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with clients and stakeholders through effective communication.
  • Deliver client strategies and ensure the company is achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and meeting client Critical Success Factors.
  • Lead people responsibilities, including performance and development reviews, coaching, and employee-related matters.
  • Ensure robust contract and delivery programs are in place, including design and procurement.
  • Provide accurate and timely reports on project progress and highlight potential risks to relevant parties.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager or Contracts Manager in the gas or pipeline industry.
  • Commercial and programming awareness, with experience using NEC forms of contract.
  • Successful track record of delivering projects from start to finish.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience working on similar projects for or with National Grid, Cadent, Northern Gas Networks, Scotia Gas Networks is advantageous.
  • Experience managing high-value projects or portfolios.
  • Willingness to travel and lodge where required.
  • Full UK driving license.
