DigiKape Resourcing is seeking a highly skilled Statutory Compliance and Safety Manager to join their prestigious client in Wirral. This is an ongoing temporary role with the potential to become permanent.


Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the organisation complies with current health and safety legislation, approved codes of practice, and guidance in relation to its assets. They will also be responsible for advising the senior management team on the implications of current and emerging health and safety legislation.


Main Responsibilities
  • Act as lead representative in matters of statutory compliance.
  • Ensure the organisation complies with current health and safety legislation and approved codes of practice.
  • Support colleagues at an operational and management level to establish and maintain systems that promote a culture of safe working practices.
  • Advise the senior management team on the implications of current and emerging health and safety legislation.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with council policies and procedures.
  • Lead on the provision of health and safety training, information, instruction, and advice.
  • Provide information, advice, and guidance to colleagues on matters relating to statutory compliance and health and safety.
  • Undertake reviews of health and safety documentation, such as risk assessments.
  • Deal with health and safety enquiries from internal and external sources.
  • Carry out health, safety, and compliance audits and report on findings.
  • Encourage ownership and team spirit across all areas of the portfolio.
  • Support with the gathering of information to develop the annual revenue and capital budgets.
