About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Depot Manager to join our team at Highland Fuels Ltd.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management and efficiency of our depot operations, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee stock control and maintenance to ensure optimal inventory levels and minimize waste.
  • Coordinate fuel loading and offloading processes to meet customer demands and maintain a high level of service.
  • Liaise with suppliers to negotiate prices and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Manage health and safety matters, including conducting regular audits and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage site security, including monitoring CCTV footage and responding to incidents.
  • Coordinate vehicle pickups, deliveries, and repairs to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Liaise with the terminal management and operational team to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Validate and authorize timesheets to ensure accurate payroll processing.
  • Tacho auditing – Driving & Working time regulations to ensure compliance with industry standards.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong Organizational Skills: to manage the depot's administrative tasks, including vehicle confirmations and inventory management.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: to coordinate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Strong Health and Safety Background: to identify and mitigate risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Good Knowledge of ISO and Quality Management: to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
