About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Depot Manager to join our team at Highland Fuels Ltd.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management and efficiency of depot operations, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee stock control and maintenance to ensure optimal inventory levels and minimize waste.
  • Coordinate fuel loading and offloading processes to meet customer demands and maintain a high level of service.
  • Liaise with suppliers to negotiate prices and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Manage health and safety matters, including conducting regular audits and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage site security, including monitoring CCTV footage and responding to incidents.
  • Coordinate vehicle pickups, deliveries, and repairs to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Liaise with the terminal management and operational team to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Validate and authorize timesheets to ensure accurate payroll processing.
  • Tacho auditing – Driving & Working time regulations to ensure compliance with industry standards.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong Organizational Skills: to manage the Huntly-based fleet, including overseeing administrative tasks and vehicle confirmations.
  • CPC Qualification: ideally held, but not essential.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: to coordinate across the business with clients and suppliers.
  • Strong Health and Safety Reporting Background: to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Good Knowledge of ISO and Quality Management: to implement and maintain industry-standard processes.
