This position offers two permanent roles: one at 1 x hours per week and another at 1 x 32 hours per week.
As our department expands to enhance diagnostic services in community settings, we are seeking dedicated Band 3 Clinical Physiology Coordinators to join our team.
In this role, you will deliver comprehensive administrative support to the Clinical Physiology department, which encompasses Cardiac, Respiratory, and Neurophysiology services. Your responsibilities will include managing the cardiac catheter laboratory and collaborating across various specialties within cardiac physiology. It is crucial to ensure precise entry of symptomatic data into our specialized systems, adhering to established guidelines to maintain optimal patient pathways for those undergoing imaging procedures.
You will work collaboratively to provide a patient-centered, accurate, and efficient admissions service for elective patients, aligning with our organizational values and policies regarding elective access, booking, and choice of date. This includes working closely with colleagues from different departments to ensure the highest quality of service for our patients, maximizing the use of available pre-operative and theatre sessions.
Your role will also involve delivering a specialized surgical booking service that meets key national and Trust-wide performance indicators, including Referral to Treatment targets.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include effective communication with patients, staff, and caregivers regarding appointments, admissions, and meetings, requiring a high degree of professionalism.
- Collaborate with all staff within the Clinical Physiology Team and participate in morning meetings.
- Liaise with relevant departments and secretaries across the Trust.
- Coordinate with other administrative personnel.
- Engage with various hospital departments.
- Communicate with General Practitioners.
- Interact with patients, their relatives, and caregivers.
- Work alongside Cardiology Consultants.
- Partner with the Clinical Physiology Administrator Supervisor to ensure seamless administrative support across Cardiac, Respiratory, and Neurophysiology departments.
- Attend weekly meetings with Specialty Consultants to ensure appropriate booking of cases and patients, adhering to Trust policies.
- Understand and interpret Trust waiting list data to ensure timely and appropriate scheduling of specialty operating lists.
