Job Summary:

Ringway Jacobs is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Drainage Operations Manager to join our Operations Drainage Team in Cheshire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of our highway drainage service, ensuring that all projects are completed safely, on time, and to budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Develop and deliver projects within the annual programme of works, ensuring that all projects comply with Health and Safety Regulations and CDM requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Manage a team of supervisors and support staff, providing guidance and direction to ensure that all projects are delivered to the required standards.
  • Supply Chain Management: Review and approve Supply Chain Partners' Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and COSHH for all allocated schemes.
  • Site Management: Conduct site inductions, promoting Ringway Jacobs' Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality Procedures at all times.
  • Resource Management: Coordinate and integrate resources to deliver projects or programmes, utilizing internal staff, shareholder resources, external consultants, and contractors as required.
  • Performance Management: Manage the performance of the team to ensure they meet the monthly requirements agreed in a Performance Management Framework.
  • Reporting: Produce weekly progress reports and complete daily site diaries.

Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience working in the construction industry, preferably in highways, with experience in working with highway drainage systems, including maintenance and repair.
  • Qualifications: A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in a field such as civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team to achieve project goals.
  • Other: A current, full driving licence is essential for this role.
