About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Nutrition Specialist to join our team at Smart Start Nursery School. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious and delicious meals for our children, ensuring their dietary needs are met, and maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement healthy meal plans that cater to the diverse needs of our children
  • Manage kitchen operations, including food preparation, storage, and disposal
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, including COSHH and Ofsted guidelines
  • Collaborate with our team to provide a stimulating and safe environment for our children
  • Maintain accurate records of food inventory, stock rotation, and kitchen maintenance
  • Deputize for the Cook in their absence, taking on full-time responsibilities as needed

About You:

We are looking for a candidate with:

A Level 2 Food and Hygiene qualificationMinimum 6 months of experience in a similar roleStrong understanding of health and safety regulations and COSHHAbility to reflect our company values of responsibility, openness, and teamwork
