Located in two Victorian townhouses in Gravesend, Smart Start Nursery School is a wonderful start to a child’s learning story.

We are looking for passionate and ambitious Nursery Chef/Cook who will prepare nutritionally balanced, freshly prepared meals and be responsible for the safe and hygienic management of the nursery kitchen.

This nursery is part of Storal, a group of nurseries across England. It is our vision at Storal to be the nursery group that every family and educator wants to be part of. About the job:

Provide balanced and nutritional meals for all children attending the nursery and catering for children with specific dietary needsInstill Storal Values to Food and Hygiene and compliance with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health-Food Safety, Health ad Safety and within the guidelines of OfstedEnsure all children are kept safe and have rich stimulating experiencesMaintaining stock levels and ensuring stock rotation To be aware of COSHH and follow relevant guidelines To deputise for the Cook in all absences with the expectation of deputising full time when this is required

About you:

Level 2 Food and HygieneMinimum of 6 months experience in a similar roleUnderstanding of Health and Safety regulations and COSHHReflecting the Storal values around responsibility, openness and working together

Salary: From £10.47 up to £12.47 per hour based on experience and qualifications
