Marie's Tea Room is a cozy and inviting establishment nestled in the heart of Gravesend. We pride ourselves on providing a delightful experience for tea enthusiasts and food lovers alike. From our selection of freshly brewed teas to our delectable array of sandwiches, paninis, ploughmans, jackets, breakfasts, and toast offerings, we aim to create a welcoming environment where patrons can indulge in delicious fare and warm hospitality. In addition to our menu, we also host events both on and off-site, along with engaging classes to further immerse our guests in the world of tea and culinary delights.

We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Tea Room Cook to join our team. As a Tea Room Cook at Marie's Tea Room, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting our diverse menu offerings, which include sandwiches, paninis, ploughmans, jackets, breakfast items, and various items on toast. In addition to savory dishes, you will also be tasked with creating a tempting array of cakes, cookies, and other baked goods to satisfy our patrons' sweet cravings.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items, ensuring high standards of taste, presentation, and quality.
- Follow recipes and adhere to food safety guidelines to maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
- Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate with management to order supplies as needed.
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Participate in event planning and execution, including catering for special occasions and hosting classes on tea and culinary topics.
- Uphold Marie's Tea Room's commitment to exceptional customer service by engaging with guests and accommodating special requests or dietary restrictions.

**Desiribal Requirements but not all nessassery**
- Proven experience as a cook or chef, preferably in a similar tea room or café environment.
- Proficiency in preparing a wide range of dishes, including sandwiches, paninis, ploughmans, jackets, breakfast items, and baked goods.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Creativity and passion for exploring new flavors and culinary techniques.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £8.37-£11.64 per hour

Expected hours: 13 - 20 per week
