Position Overview:

As a Senior Security Engineer at NuHarbor, you will be instrumental in safeguarding the security and integrity of client systems. You will act as a technical authority within our Engineering team, providing mentorship to junior engineers and aiding in the creation of processes and training materials. Your duties will encompass onboarding new clients, managing existing systems, and crafting advanced security solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical assistance in Splunk, Tenable, and security orchestration
  • Engage in engineering activities for onboarding and supporting Managed Services clients
  • Administer and enhance Splunk and Tenable environments
  • Formulate and execute cybersecurity recommendations for clients
  • Guide junior team members and collaborate with other service teams
  • Stay informed about global threat trends and emerging technologies
  • Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation as required
  • Support the development of new service offerings and operational workflows

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Technology
  • Strong expertise in Linux and Windows systems
  • In-depth knowledge of security and networking principles
  • Experience with Splunk, SOAR technologies, and vulnerability management
  • Industry certifications such as Splunk Enterprise Certified Architect
  • Must be a US citizen

Additional Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of IT experience
  • Previous experience in security operations
  • A strong passion for cybersecurity and customer service
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills
  • Proven ability to identify and mitigate cyber risks
  • Capability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively
  • Understanding of the business implications of security decisions
