Position Summary:

As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer at NuHarbor, you will be instrumental in safeguarding the security and integrity of client systems. You will act as a technical authority within our Engineering team, offering mentorship to junior engineers and contributing to the creation of processes and training materials. Your duties will encompass onboarding new clients, managing existing systems, and devising sophisticated security solutions.

Key Duties:

  • Deliver technical assistance in Splunk, Tenable, and security orchestration
  • Engage in engineering initiatives for onboarding and supporting Managed Services clients
  • Oversee and enhance Splunk and Tenable environments
  • Formulate and execute cybersecurity strategies for clients
  • Guide junior team members and collaborate with other service divisions
  • Remain informed about global threat landscapes and emerging technologies
  • Participate in on-call rotation as required
  • Contribute to the development of new service offerings and operational methodologies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Technology
  • Strong expertise in Linux and Windows environments
  • In-depth knowledge of security and networking principles
  • Experience with Splunk, SOAR technologies, and vulnerability management
  • Relevant industry certifications such as Splunk Enterprise Certified Architect
  • Must be a US citizen

Preferred Skills:

  • 7+ years of IT experience
  • Previous experience in security operations
  • Enthusiasm for cybersecurity and client service
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities
  • Proven capacity to identify and mitigate cyber risks
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively
  • Understanding of the business implications of security decisions
