Data Analytics Specialist

The purpose of this role is to serve as a Data Analytics SME for the CLUK Internal Audit team. The primary responsibility will be to lead the development and implementation of CLUK's data analytics approach.
Key Responsibilities- Understand and map CLUK data architecture to enable the extraction and use of data for risk assessment and audit delivery.
- Identify opportunities for data use in audit planning and delivery, including developing data-driven audit tests and procedures.
- Support audit work through data-driven testing using various data analytics tools, such as Power BI.
- Act as a data analytics champion, sharing knowledge and best practices across the CLUK Audit Team and Data Analytics Community of Practice.
- Develop a data-driven approach to continuous monitoring through data-driven testing.
- Subject Matter Expertise in Data Analytics for the UK audit team, with the ability to map data from complex systems to support risk assessment.
- Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, IF functions, pivot tables, and chart creation to support analysis.
- Experience with data analysis tools, such as Power BI, IDEA, Salesforce, and Tableau.
- Confidence in handling and manipulating numerical data and calculations to identify risks and issues.
- Knowledge of assurance principles and Python coding skills are desirable.
