About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our Senior Management Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering high standards of care, supporting patients through their recovery journey, and contributing to our holistic approach to healthcare.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Undertake initial assessments for service users to determine the appropriate level of care to be provided, working closely with the ward multi-disciplinary team to ensure delivery of the treatment and care pathway.
  2. Leadership of and participation in learning activities and clinical supervision, ensuring that our team is equipped to provide the highest level of care.
  3. Participation in Clinical Governance activities, including research, clinical audit, and Continuing Professional Development, to ensure that our services are evidence-based and of the highest quality.
  4. Work effectively with colleagues to ensure that service users have access to appropriate clinical cover at all times, participating in an on-call rota for the site as needed.
  5. Support the service in delivering physical health care and potentially emergency treatment to service users, working closely with our medical team to ensure seamless care.
  6. Share responsibility for providing phlebotomy services with other members of the clinical team, ensuring that our patients receive timely and effective care.
  7. Undertake risk assessments and adjust service user observation levels in conjunction with colleagues from the wider MDT, ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care and support.
  8. Arrange appropriate clinical tests and investigations, taking responsibility for obtaining results and acting on them in a timely manner.
  9. Ensure that our caseload has access to all physical healthcare screening and investigations, working closely with our medical team to ensure seamless care.
Requirements
  1. Registered Nurse (RMN/RNLD/RGN) with valid NMC registration.
  2. Registered Non-Medical Prescriber.
  3. Desirable to have completed an Advanced Nurse/Clinical Practitioner Training Course or a Clinical Skills development course, which should include initial examination, ECG, and venepuncture.
  4. Proven experience as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, ideally within a mental health, addiction, or related setting.
  5. Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.
