This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified, experienced IBD nurse to join the United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust team. We are looking for a highly motivated, confident, and enthusiastic nurse to provide high-quality patient care across our Hospital sites.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide specialized nursing care to patients with IBD, including IBD nurse clinics, telephone support, and biologic infusion services.
- Work collaboratively with the gastroenterology multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
- Conduct physical assessments and history taking, and provide education to patients and healthcare professionals.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of IBD, including aetiology, pathogenesis, and pharmaceutical knowledge.
- Participate in clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
- Registered General Nurse with a degree or degree-level education.
- Physical Assessment and History Taking Course, and 998 or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Evidence of continued professional development and research/care experience.
- Desirable qualifications include GCP/Research qualification, Counselling course, Prescribing qualification, and Working towards Masters level education.
- Motivation and enthusiasm, sensitivity to patient needs, approachability, and resilience.
- Demonstrates ULHT Trust Values.
