About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our fast-paced and dynamic Approved Mental Health Service (AMHP) team. As a Senior Mental Health Professional, you will work collaboratively with statutory and non-statutory agencies to provide a joined-up approach to supporting vulnerable individuals.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake statutory assessments and triage initial enquiries in line with statutory duties
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies and the local community to provide a supportive framework for vulnerable individuals
- Develop strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
- Provide expert advice and guidance in complex situations, and mentor both newly qualified and experienced team members
- Have a comprehensive understanding of current legislation, regulations, and guidance related to mental health
Requirements
- Qualified social worker with current Social Work England registration
- Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) status
- Significant experience in demonstrating expert and effective practice in complex situations
- Ability to manage workloads and support colleagues with complex cases
- Comprehensive understanding of current legislation, regulations, and guidance related to mental health
