About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our fast-paced and dynamic Approved Mental Health Service (AMHP) team. As a Senior Mental Health Professional, you will work collaboratively with statutory and non-statutory agencies to provide a joined-up approach to supporting vulnerable individuals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake statutory assessments and triage initial enquiries in line with statutory duties
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies and the local community to provide a supportive framework for vulnerable individuals
  • Develop strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Provide expert advice and guidance in complex situations, and mentor both newly qualified and experienced team members
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of current legislation, regulations, and guidance related to mental health

Requirements

  • Qualified social worker with current Social Work England registration
  • Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) status
  • Significant experience in demonstrating expert and effective practice in complex situations
  • Ability to manage workloads and support colleagues with complex cases
  • Comprehensive understanding of current legislation, regulations, and guidance related to mental health
