Become a vital part of Babcock International Group by taking on the role of Breathing Apparatus Training Specialist at our Staverton facility.

Position Overview

In this role, you will enjoy a unique opportunity for professional development, a balanced work-life schedule, and recognition for your contributions.

Your daily responsibilities will include delivering and evaluating essential training programs that are critical for firefighting personnel. You will ensure that operational firefighters possess the necessary skills and knowledge to manage dynamic emergency situations effectively.

The training sessions are structured to last for 2 days, with a maximum of 6 consecutive days of instruction. You will have a predetermined number of working days each year, along with additional annual leave.

  • Conduct training sessions and provide constructive feedback in accordance with established standards
  • Maintain your professional qualifications and expertise
  • Implement new training initiatives as required
  • Accurately complete all course documentation in a timely manner

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in teaching, coaching, assessing, or presenting to adult learners (preferred)
  • A background in fire safety or related fields is beneficial
  • Must be passionate, adaptable, and engaging in your teaching approach

Desired Credentials:

  • Trainer with an Assessing and Training Qualification at Level 3 or higher (preferred, with company support available)
  • Additional desirable qualifications include positive pressure ventilation instructor, Bai, and CFBTi

Successful candidates will be required to obtain BPSS security clearance.
