Job Title: Breathing Apparatus Trainer
At Babcock International Group, we're committed to creating a safe and secure world, together. As a Breathing Apparatus Trainer, you'll play a vital role in delivering and assessing training courses that equip firefighters with the knowledge and skills to respond to dynamic incidents safely.
The Role
As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for delivering 2-day training sessions, with a maximum of 6 days in a row, and conducting feedback to a professional and consistent standard. You'll also maintain your subject and professional competence in accordance with organisational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver training courses and conduct feedback to a professional and consistent standard in accordance with LFB requirements.
- Maintain own subject and professional competence in accordance with organisational requirements.
- Pilot new initiatives in training when required.
- Accurate completion and prompt submission of all relevant course documentation.
Essential Experience
- Experience of teaching, coaching, assessing and/or presenting to groups of adults is preferable but not essential.
- A fire-related background or experience would be a distinct advantage.
- People who are passionate, adaptable, and engaging are ideal candidates.
Qualifications
- If you have a non-fire related background, ideally you'll have a trainer with an Assessing and Training Qualification at Level 3 or above (not essential as this can be obtained through the company).
- Additional desirable qualifications include positive pressure ventilation instructor and Bai and CFBTi.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve BPSS security clearance level for this role.
