About the Role

Charles Taylor Specialist Claims Management (SCM) is seeking a Claims Adjuster with multi-class experience to support the growth of our Delegated Lead Service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and adjusting claims from first notification to settlement within pre-authorised authority limits
  • Claims adjusting on behalf of current and future SCM clients
  • Provision of technical support for the adjusting of various commercial business claims
  • Ensuring each client's claim service standards are maintained or enhanced
  • Managing and enhancing client relationships
  • Monitoring performance against contract service level agreements and key performance indicators
  • Delivering and presenting reports to clients on specific claims issues
  • Mentoring and training less experienced members of the team
  • Post-adjustment peer review to ensure technical standards and requirements are adhered to
  • Appointing experts and legal counsel where deemed appropriate

Person Specification

  • Extensive experience in adjusting claims across various commercial business lines
  • Proven track record of adjusting a combination of multiple classes of business
  • Experience in handling claims in accordance with industry standards and regulations
  • Extensive knowledge of industry standards and regulations, including Lloyd's Claims Scheme
  • Established relationships with brokers, adjusters, lawyers, and attorneys in the relevant industry
  • Able to work across multiple stringent client service level agreements
  • Display excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients
  • Able to prioritise work, have good time management skills, and adapt to the changing demands of the role
