Main Responsibilities
  • Provide expert dental care to referred children with high treatment needs or special care requirements.
  • Deliver dental care to adults with disabilities and special needs, ensuring a patient-centered approach.
  • Participate in epidemiology and screening programs in schools, nurseries, and special care groups, contributing to the improvement of oral health outcomes.
  • Contribute to oral health promotion programs and dental public health activities, promoting healthy behaviors and education.
  • Manage the dental surgery to ensure safe, effective, and efficient delivery of services, adhering to relevant standards and guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and carers, considering differences in language, ability, and culture.
Requirements
  • BDS degree and full GDC registration.
  • Eligibility for Performers List and evidence of CPD related to CDS care.
  • Desirable: VT/FT or equivalent, expertise in paediatric treatment planning, and clinical management.
