Technip Energies UK Operating Centre (T.EN UKOC) operates as a distinctive engineering contractor, merging the global capabilities of Technip Energies with a robust local presence in the UK market. Our operations span multiple locations across the UK, including London and Milton Keynes, enabling us to execute substantial projects both domestically and internationally. Our focus within the UK is directed towards the energy sector, particularly energy transition initiatives. Our team boasts a diverse array of expertise across various operational domains, engaging throughout the project lifecycle from technology and engineering to construction, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance services. Additionally, T.EN UK OC serves as the project management consultancy Centre of excellence for Technip Energies.

Job Purpose

We are in search of an Indirect Sourcing Manager to oversee indirect procurement activities within a designated Operating Center for the assigned category (IES). This position is accountable for managing the complete range of activities associated with a specific commodity family (IES) and includes supervising a team of buyers. Internally, this role collaborates with multiple departments such as Project Management, Legal, Engineering, Communication, Human Resources, DET, Finance, Procurement, Global Business Support, Estimation, Cost Control, Marketing, and Compliance. Externally, it engages with vendors and suppliers.

Main Accountabilities
  • Enhancing procurement policies, programs, and procedures in alignment with directives from senior management and the objectives of each stakeholder.
  • Advising on necessary modifications to company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinating and distributing tasks among team members.
  • Providing recommendations to stakeholders, presenting balanced solutions for the company.
  • Executing complex, large-scale, and strategic purchasing activities for the category (IES).
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with vendors, enhancing the company’s prestige and reputation.
  • Contributing to the development of indirect procurement strategies and initiatives to mitigate risks alongside stakeholders.
  • Offering expertise in specific purchasing domains.
  • Leading a team of 5 to 10 individuals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with procurement procedures.
  • Demonstrated management experience in prior roles within Engineering, Procurement, Project Management, or ECP.
  • Strong listening and analytical skills.
  • Proficient negotiation abilities.
