Job OverviewKizuna Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Manager to lead a residential children's home in Romford. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management and operation of the home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, promoting a positive culture, and providing strong leadership to the care team.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the Residential Children's Home: Ensure the highest standards of care and support are maintained, meeting the needs of children and young people.
- Lead and Inspire the Care Team: Provide supervision, guidance, and support to a dedicated team of staff, promoting a positive and inclusive environment.
- Develop and Implement Care Plans: Create and implement individual care and behavior plans, risk assessments, and ensure effective communication with children, families, and external agencies.
- Ensure Compliance: Maintain knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and safeguarding procedures, ensuring the home remains compliant.
- Manage Resources: Efficiently manage budgets, resources, and administrative tasks, promoting a well-organized and effective service delivery.
- Promote a Positive Environment: Foster a culture that values diversity, respects the rights of children and young people, and promotes a positive and inclusive environment.
- Evaluate Service Delivery: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of service delivery, implementing improvements as necessary to ensure the highest standards of care.
- Proven Experience: Proven experience as a Registered Manager within a residential children's home setting.
- Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification) or working towards.
- Knowledge and Skills: Sound knowledge of Ofsted legislation, regulations, and best practices in childcare, strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Decision-Making: Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and resolve complex issues effectively.
- Safeguarding: A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Driving License: Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
