Job Title: Residential Children's Home Manager

Reed is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Manager to lead and manage a Residential Children's Home in Romford, East London.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing inspirational leadership, supporting both children and the team, and ensuring that each child has individual care and care planning that meets their needs.

The role involves managing services including staff management, care and placement planning, safeguarding, and monitoring overall quality and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a Residential Children's Home setting and be capable of building and maintaining rapport with clients while providing an exceptional level of service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide inspirational leadership and support to children and staff
  • Ensure individual care and care planning meets the needs of each child
  • Manage services including staff management, care and placement planning, safeguarding, and quality compliance
  • Implement statutory and organisational policies and procedures
  • Comply with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Manage the move plan for any child moving to the home
  • Maintain good relationships with Commissioning Teams
Requirements:
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare
  • Previous experience in a Deputy Manager or Registered Manager role in a Residential Children's Care Setting
  • Experience working with children, young people, and their families in a residential setting
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
