Cleaning Contracts Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cleaning Contracts Supervisor to join our team at Carlton Recruitment Solutions Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational activities are undertaken to the contract specification, delivering peak performance in terms of quality, quantity of work, and health & safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake daily operational supervision of the cleaning staff.
  • Arrange absence and annual leave cover.
  • Deal with and action all day-to-day telephone calls, enquiries, messages, and complaints.
  • Monitor cleaning duties and ensure all tasks are delivered to a high standard and to the required schedule.
  • Carry out quality audits and monitor performance.
  • Perform performance management and annual appraisals.
  • Organise refresher and new starter training sessions, with internal training records monitored and maintained.
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection process for new staff.
  • Adhere to health & safety regulations and company health & safety policies.
General Cleaning Contract Supervision:
  • Conduct planned, general inspections and create and analyse contract performance reports, taking corrective action where necessary.
  • Maintain stock requirements and monitor stock usage, coordinating stores deliveries and collections.
  • Liaise with Head Office regarding any incident, accident, or unusual occurrence.
  • Provide quotations for additional or specific works, as requested.
  • Ensure the accurate completion of all contract administration.
  • Undertake daily checks of all work areas, identifying areas where standards are not met, giving feedback to individuals and revisiting once tasks have been notified as completed.
Requirements:
  • Full, clean UK driving licence.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience within a cleaning role.
  • Minimum of 2 years' supervisory experience or relevant proven skills.
  • IT skills, including a sound knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Good standard of English language skills, arithmetic, and general administration.
  • Ability to work well with existing and future company staff, contractors, and clients, with a proactive approach to the role and its responsibilities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to provide support and advice, with the capability to deliver both induction and H&S training.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and relationship management.
