Cleaning Contracts Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Contracts Supervisor to ensure operational activities are undertaken to the contract specification. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervision and monitoring of the cleaning staff to ensure that all tasks are delivered to a high standard and to the required schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake the daily operational supervision of the cleaning staff.
  • Arrangement of absence and annual leave cover.
  • To deal with, and action, all day-to-day telephone calls, enquiries, messages and complaints.
  • Monitor cleaning duties and ensure they are completed to a high standard.
  • Carry out quality audits and monitor performance.
  • Performance management and annual appraisals.
  • Organise refresher and new starter training sessions, with internal training records monitored and maintained.
  • Take part in the recruitment and selection process for new staff.
  • Adherence to health & safety regulations and the company health & safety policies.
General Cleaning Contract Supervision:
  • Planned, general inspections and the creation and analysis of contract performance reports, taking corrective action where necessary.
  • Maintenance of stock requirements and monitor stock usage and the co-ordination of stores deliveries and collections.
  • Liaise with Head Office regarding any incident, accident or unusual occurrence.
  • Provision of quotations for additional or specific works, as requested.
  • Ensure the accurate completion of all contract administration.
  • To undertake daily checks of all work areas, identifying areas where standards are not met, give feedback to individuals and revisit once they the task has been notified as completed.
Requirements:
  • Full, clean UK driving licence.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience within a cleaning role.
  • Minimum of 2 years' supervisory experience or relevant proven skills.
  • IT skills to include a sound knowledge of MS Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Good standard of English language skills, arithmetic, and general administration.
  • Must be able to work well with the existing and future company staff, contractors and clients and have a proactive approach to the role and its responsibilities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to provide support and advice, with the capability to deliver both induction and H&S training are essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and relationship management.
