Position: Special Needs Teaching Assistant
Location: Surbiton
Age Group: 4-19 years old
Compensation: £85-£100 per day
Role Overview:
In this fulfilling role, you will provide crucial assistance to students with SEND, enabling them to reach their maximum potential in a supportive and inclusive setting. Collaborating closely with educators and other specialists, you will help implement personalized educational strategies, engage in classroom activities, and support the emotional and social growth of the students.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support the execution of individual education plans (IEPs)
- Offer personalized or small group assistance to students
- Encourage a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere
- Assist with classroom tasks and administrative duties
- Help with personal care and mobility needs, if necessary
- Track and report on student progress and development
- Work in partnership with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure comprehensive support
Qualifications:
- Experience in working with children or young individuals with SEND
- A patient, understanding, and nurturing demeanor
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Capability to collaborate effectively within a team
- Relevant qualifications or training in education or SEND (preferred but not mandatory)
- A dedication to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All quoted pay rates will include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the possibility of becoming permanent in some cases.
