In light of ongoing expansion, we are looking for a skilled Customs Clearance Specialist to become part of a dedicated team in Liverpool.


Role Overview:
We are in search of a meticulous and knowledgeable Customs Clearance Specialist to enhance our logistics operations. The successful candidate will manage customs clearances, documentation, and declarations for both imports and exports. A strong grasp of freight forwarding practices, particularly in sea and air freight, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee customs clearance procedures for both imports and exports.
  • Ensure the precise and prompt preparation of customs documentation and declarations.
  • Engage with customs authorities to address any issues or discrepancies.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to optimize customs processes.
  • Stay informed about customs regulations and compliance standards.
  • Provide assistance and expertise to colleagues regarding customs-related inquiries.
  • Monitor departmental systems and processes, suggesting improvements to the Customs Supervisor.
  • Guarantee that all entries for imports and exports are completed within the required timeframe.
  • Report unresolved issues to the Customs Supervisor when necessary.
  • Adhere to established procedures consistently.
  • Ensure that company standards are upheld, delivering a positive customer experience.

Required Experience:
  • Demonstrated experience as a Customs Clearance Specialist, Customs Clerk, or in a comparable role within the logistics sector.
  • Comprehensive understanding of customs regulations, import/export protocols, and freight forwarding.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in managing customs documentation.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to thrive in a dynamic, deadline-oriented environment.
