About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our South West Community Mental Health Team in Borehamwood. As a key member of our team, you will provide clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment and treatment of service users with complex and high-risk psychiatric conditions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior medical staff
  • Ensure that junior medical staff operate within the parameters of the New Deal and are Working Time Directive compliant
  • Participate in service and business planning activity for the locality and the whole mental health service

Person Specification
  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
  • Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management
  • CCT in Psychiatry OR Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register in psychiatry OR within six months of achieving CCT/CESR at the time of interview
