Multi-Trade Operative

Sanctuary Group is seeking a skilled Multi-Trade Operative to join their Operations Planned team in Chester. As a key member of the team, you will work independently and/or alongside other Operatives to cover numerous sites across the North and North West region.
The ideal candidate will be qualified and experienced in one of the following trades: joinery, plumbing, or plastering, with proficiency in at least one other trade. A company van and tools will be provided, and the role will involve both team and lone working. Opportunities for additional on-the-job training will be available to expand your existing skill base.
The Multi-Trade Operative will be responsible for attending occupied or void properties to carry out construction, fault fixing, and maintenance duties. You will resolve problems, ensure customers are kept informed, and maintain a suitable van stock level. Accurate and timely information on the progress of works will be provided to customers.
Key skills and experiences required include:
- Compliance with Building Safety legislation, with a qualified NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical, or plumbing) or undertaking this qualification
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
- Experience in analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
- PC literacy and ability to use and update computerised systems (including PDA) for work scheduling
- A full valid UK driving licence for driving company vehicles
As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. A basic Disclosure and Barring Service check will be necessary in the event of a successful application.
