Clinical Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Clinical Decisions Unit (CDU) within the Emergency Department at Lister Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals requiring further observation, assessment, or treatment.
Main Responsibilities- Conduct clinical assessments of patients admitted to CDU, including observations and pain levels, ensuring early detection of any deterioration or changes.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care needs of patients from admission to discharge home or transfer to the inpatient wards.
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions prescribed, ensuring adherence to Trust policies, guidelines, and procedures.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and timely documentation of patient care in accordance with Trust policies.

Requirements- Registered Nurse on part 1, part 2, or part 12 of the NMC register.
- Commitment to lifelong learning.
- BLS/ILS trained.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
- Evidence of assessing and mentorship qualification.
- Currently working in an acute ward environment within the NHS.
- Experience of supporting students/clinical support workers within the NHS.
