About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Haemato-Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. As a key member of our haemato-oncology team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with haematological conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert nursing care to patients with haematological conditions, including those undergoing treatment for blood cancers and disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each patient.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
- Conduct thorough assessments, identify areas for improvement, and implement evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes.
- Provide education and support to patients, families, and healthcare professionals to promote understanding and adherence to treatment plans.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote best practices in haemato-oncology care.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with a degree in nursing or a related field.
- Post-registration qualification in haematology or a related field.
- Significant experience in haemato-oncology nursing, with a strong understanding of haematological conditions and treatment options.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care and evidence-based practice.
