About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced midwife to join our team as a Practice Development Midwife. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the development and implementation of midwifery practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement midwifery practice guidelines and protocols
  • Provide clinical leadership and support to midwives in all areas of the department
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations of midwives' clinical competencies
  • Develop and deliver training programs for midwives
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless care delivery
Requirements
  • Currently NMC Registered Midwife
  • Registered Midwife with at least 3 years' experience
  • Evidence of professional development
  • Teaching qualification
  • Assessor/mentorship course or equivalent
Desirable Criteria
  • Professional Midwifery Advocate
  • Masters degree
  • PROMPT Trainer
  • NLS Trained
