Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a 6-month, band 7, secondment to the Practice Development Midwife role, working within the Pastoral Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement midwifery practice improvements
  • Support midwives in all areas to ensure safe and compassionate practice
  • Ensure newly qualified, existing, and internationally educated midwives can demonstrate necessary clinical competencies
  • Act as a practice development midwife within the maternity department
Requirements
  • Currently NMC Registered Midwife
  • Registered Midwife with at least 3 years' experience who has worked in all areas
  • Evidence of professional development
  • Teaching qualification
  • Assessor/mentorship course or equivalent
