We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team in Solihull, United Kingdom. As the second-in-command, you will assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement menus, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Supervise and motivate the kitchen team, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standard, meeting health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering their growth and development.
  • Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring efficient ordering and stock control.
  • Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Head Chef, maintaining kitchen operations and standards.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role, with a strong track record of success.
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene practices.
  • Creativity and passion for cooking with fresh, high-quality ingredients, with a focus on innovation and excellence.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required, with a commitment to delivering exceptional results.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or higher preferred), with a focus on maintaining the highest standards of kitchen hygiene.
